Zachary (La.) athlete Douglas Coleman announced his commitment to Texas Tech on Sunday following his official visit to the South Plains. The three-star prospect had previous been committed to Tulane.

Coleman told RedRaiderSports.com last week that an offer from the Red Raiders "would probably seal the deal" because he has "always wanted to play Power Five football."

New Texas Tech running backs coach Jabbar Juluke, a Louisiana native and a long-time coach in the Bayou State, was primarily responsible for Coleman's recruitment.

Coleman gives the Red Raiders 26 public commitments heading into National Signing Day.
